RESTORED ONTO ETERNITY HERE

God forged man in His likeness and breathed His life into man’s nostrils. He gave man authority over all His creation  and entrusted him as a steward over it.  Eternal life was with man and he was made a partaker of all the blessings of perfect union with His maker.  Betrayal was also on heavenly ground and it came to the image barer as a serpent enticing the created to defy His maker and tempted him with the seed of pride and entitlement.  The word and command God had sown in Adam and Eve’s heart was swept and drowned by the voice of the enemy, birthing disobedience. Hence, death entered life’s equation, making eternity obsolete, and both of the created (Adam and Eve) were banned of all that was good, God himself, and all His blessings. Instead of stewardship, hardship and pain was bestowed upon their lives. The Deceiver, Satan, including his subjects were also chased from God’s presence and were given dominion over the earth,  but God in His grace and mercy put enmity between Eve’s seed and that of the Old Serpent and clothed them with a righteous garment of skin according to His word: “Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin” pointing to the coming Messiah: Jesus Christ, the perfect lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.

Jesus restored eternal order with His death and resurrection. He brought unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Him (Ephesians 1:10).  He also marked us in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, when we believed.  He restored us into eternity by knowing God through Him as found in John 17:4: “Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”. This knowledge has cast a whole new meaning onto the Lord’s prayer for me.

Our Father who art in heaven
Hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in Heaven

The Kingdom of Heaven and eternity have been ushered in and are continually being restored into earth and into the hearts of those who have believed in the Son.  As my friend Stephanie put it:: “The word of God, is the will of God and the will of God became effective in Christ’s death and resurrection, and the Holy Spirit is the Executor of that will”  who is the deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of His glory (Ephesians 1:14). He has also given us authority over all things under Jesus Christ.  The power that resurrected Christ from the grave is also in us and Jesus promised that we will do greater things in His name through the Power of the Holy Spirit to the glory of the Father (John 12:10-16).  He has also given us the key to the kingdom of heaven saying whatever we bind on earth, will be bound in heaven and whatever we loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. So friends, if you have been living thinking that eternity awaits you after you pass away, may God give you divine insight of your inheritance while on earth and remind you that you are already in it, but awaiting to be restored into your glorified bodies leaving behind these decaying ones just as it was once in the Garden of Eden, when Adam walked with God in the coolness of the day.

When God SPOKE the world (The Heavens, Earth, Land, Water, Sky, Sun, Moon, Stars, and Vegetation) into existence and populated it with all its inhabitants, the bible says five times that “HE SAW THAT IT WAS GOOD”, as a pleased artist stepping back to admire his creative Masterpiece: a reflection of His power and might. Then, a conversation/decision took place among The Tri-une God (God, Jesus, Holy Spirit) to MAKE man into their likeness, a reflection of Himself.(Genesis 2:7:“The Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground and BREATHED into his nostrils, the breath of life, and the man BECAME a living being).  The Psalmist says of this intimate involvement in piecing us together:  “YOU HEM ME IN BEHIND AND BEFORE ;YOU HAVE LAID YOUR HAND UPON ME. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain” and “ For you created my inmost being You KNITTED ME TOGETHER IN MY MOTHER’S WOMB. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, Your works are wonderful.  I know that full well.”, bearing His fingerprints (Psalm 139:5-6; 13-14).

Sometimes we forget, the preciousness of the intricacy of how we came to be: the affection, love, admiration with which we have been sewn together with.  We are THOUGHT, FINGERPRINT, IMAGE, AND BREATH BEARERS of the Almighty created to reflect His glory.  In the midst of society, expectations, and demands of life, we forget that we have a Heavenly Father who has already clothed us with worth, glory, and honored us with His very breath.  If you have ever wondered if God is pleased with you, may Zephaniah 3:17 become the anthem and declaration of your heart: “The Lord God is with you, He is mighty to save.  He will take GREAT DELIGHT IN YOU, HE WILL QUIET YOU WITH HIS LOVE, AND WILL REJOICE OVER YOU WITH SINGING.”  Yes, you have a mighty God who saves you through Jesus Christ, who delights, loves, and sings over you.  May this truth quiet your heart knowing that God is your biggest “AFICIONADO”. I also pray that you would pause and ponder on the length He has gone to redeem you back to Himself.  He is constantly speaking your worth back to you. May His voice be the loudest and the clearest in your ears while drowning all others.  He is a Father who thinks the world of you and in His wisdom reflected this very joy that He has for you through your earthly parents, guardians, siblings, and friends. I can barely stand it!!!! “WOOHOO” IS YOUR BIGGEST FAN???

I am 2 days late in posting this blog, but one I think is worth sharing.

Besides the usual mundane day to day commitments and responsibilities May 7th held, there was much anticipation for the two back to back Playoff games respectively that evening: Game 4 for San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz to advance to Round 2, and Game 4 for Clippers vs. Grizzlies , the latter team fighting to stay alive.

The skies were engorged with rain and flashing lights and rumblings heralded, the fury that was about to be unleashed in the hours to come. I got to the gym just before it started to drizzle and secured a treadmill and locked onto the ESPN Channel. One couple and my next door neighbor made a quick exit as the weather went from drizzle into a whistling and blowing monster.  Trees shook and bent violently, branches were snapped off, pool chairs were thrown and pushed into adjacent lawn as one drowned in the pool. I was in the safety of thick windows frames of the gym with front row view of what was taking place outside, but my attention went to the game which was already in progress. And seconds before Manu Genobli was going to make a shot before the end of first quarter, with one roar the Treadmill I was on came to a jerking halt, and you guessed it: a show stopper on all levels (TV, lights, etc).

On of my desires in life is not to miss God or His manifestations on a daily, hourly, or minute basis with His help.  I stood there convicted as He brought to my mind’s eye the same clear message He has been trying for me to grasp: once through a decorative stone above my cabinet and the same message through Pinterest.  I would admit to you that I saw the message, but neglected take heed to it. And now hostage of His powerful and awe provoking displays, I uttered “ I am still and know that you are God”.  The lengthy downpour brought the day to a close and natural light dimmed progressively. More roars and lightening persisted as the stuffy humidity now turned into a breath of fresh air of coolness still remnant to this hour. And in the midst of reflection, I was reminded of a song “Be still and know that He is God”. I you tubed it and Steven Curtis Chapman’s Song came up. The Lyrics were dead on:

How it came to be and what followed:

I was watching “Paul the Apostle Full Movie” on you tube and nearing the two out of three hours movie and the following words “that matters” resonated in my spirit….So needless to say, it was movie “interruptus” and pen onto a “Panera Bread” receipt and the above was birthed.  I shared it with a friend out of sheer excitement and for the Lord’s correction if needed. I was then on my way to “Panera Bread” (for Wi-Fi access) and before I got to my car I ran into L. Huggs. I have seen her around in the compound and have exchanged a hello in the past, but this time the tattoo on her back and her arm caught my attention.  Before I knew it the question “What happened to you” flew out of my mouth.  L. Huggs is tied to an electric wheelchair. She is a double leg amputee with several fingers missing, as well as all her teeth due to an auto immune disease, which causes an over production of collagen and invades the entire body cutting off circulation, hence causing gangrene and hardening her vital organs like stones.  I stood frozen with the information as well as the events leading me onto her path.  I asked the question “Do you know him……Jesus”? She replied (I am paraphrasing) ” I was supposed to have died ten years ago, but I am still here because of Him.  He is the only one I have who is there with me through it all until His purpose is done.  We are here only temporarily, and she mentioned that she should get a T-Shirt with the writing “Be Thankful” and “I am a survivor” because her tattooing days were over due to a horrible healing impediment.  I stood there and nodded in agreement thanking God for this encounter. It also dawned on me that this is no coincidence, so I pulled my receipt out and read the words which are now typed above.  She nodded in agreement and we both rejoiced that both of us have and know what matters….the one who matters “Jesus”.  As He has already named her (Huggs),  she blessed me with two big “hugs” and with an invitation to come visit her and we parted ways with the promise to pray and remember each other . Woe oppressors, woe accusers, woe mockers, woe evil doers, woe manipulators, and woe to you who set traps, Jesus has the last laugh as will we with Him.  BOOM!!!!!!
